What this website collects

The website has no form, sets no cookies and runs no analytics, and we have not set up any other tool to collect visitor data. If you click an email link, your own email app opens, and nothing is sent until you send it.

The website is hosted by Netlify, which acts as our processor. When you visit, Netlify’s servers keep access logs that include your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the page that referred you. Netlify has told its customers it keeps these logs for about 30 days. We use this only because it is needed to deliver and secure the website, and our lawful basis is legitimate interests in running a secure website.

What we receive when you email us

Whatever you choose to send: usually your name, email address, organisation, and details of a brief or a publication. Please do not send more personal information than is needed.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Who sees it, and who processes it for us

Tahir Ali reads and manages enquiries personally. Two providers process information on our behalf:

Transfers outside the UK

Both providers are based in the United States, so information may be processed there. Namecheap states that it processes customer data in the United States and that its Data Processing Addendum provides for the UK standard contractual clauses for transfers from the UK. Netlify states in its privacy statement that it complies with the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and refers to standard contractual clauses.
